Setting up a shared custody calendar
How to turn a parenting plan into a calendar both parents can follow, including holidays and swaps.
Start with the regular schedule
Enter the usual pattern first, such as alternating weeks or 2-2-3. Then add holidays, school breaks, and birthdays, which usually override the regular schedule.
Write down exchange details
Note where and when exchanges happen. Clear exchange times prevent most misunderstandings.
Handle changes in writing
When plans change, propose the change in the app and let the other parent accept or decline it. ParaNest keeps the request and the answer with the calendar.
Check the totals
ParaNest counts overnights for each parent by month, so you can see how the schedule is working in practice.
